Comcast

Comcast is a fantastic client to partner with.

I worked with this team for a number of years, producing hundreds of TV spots over several high profile campaigns.

Here's a sampling...

X1 Challenge

It started with Chris Hardwick on a soundstage at Universal Studios. It ended with an fully wrapped and branded 45 foot motor coach trolling the mean streets of Vacaville, California.

(Actually, the streets of Vacaville are not very mean at all. It's a lovely town.)

Xfinity Couch

Not so long ago, in an agency not so far away, a creative team wondered... "What would happen if we removed front row seats from a bunch of major league stadiums and arenas and replaced them with a big, comfy couch? Then we can surprise some fans with the best seat in the house and shoot it all for a national TV campaign."

The account team said it was interesting, but it couldn't be done.

The client said he loved it. But it couldn't be done.

The focus groups said, "It's fantastic! But it can't be done."

But the producer said "We can totally do this."

And so we did.

Blindsided

We did a big push every year to debunk DirecTV's "Best Offer of the Year." Although the offer sounded great in their TV ads, if you dug into the fine print you'd discover that you had to sign a two year contract, and your rate could double within the first year! You'd be blindsided with every new bill, not knowing what you might have to pay.

The creative team took the idea of being blindsided quite literally. Our client like the result so much we revisited the concept the following year with a new execution.

Odds & Ends

I produced a lot of work for Comcast. These spots don't fall into any particular bucket, but were a hell of a lot of fun to work on.
